Policies and Procedures

Policies and procedures are something an institution needs in order for it to operate effectively. Policies and procedures can lead to the responsibility and control of the institution as well as its productivity measurement.

An institution without policies and procedures will lead to a chaotic institution.


Communication Process

Communication--- the human connection---is the key to personal and career success.

Communication is an important part of our lives, without communication we can't convey our feeling with each other and may cause misunderstanding.

These are some ways to improve communication:
  • You need to be a good listener
  • Empathize 
  • Send the message through several different routes
  • Repeat the message

What makes a Good Manager?

The definition of a manager is a person responsible for supervising  and motivating employees and for directing the process of an organization.


But what really makes a good manager?

Image result for managementIn order to be an efficient and respected manager one must have confidence, how can you manage and lead other people if you don't trust yourself? To be able to lead you need to be confident and talk confidently.

Another characteristic of a good manager is thoughtfulness. Why? As a manager you have to be thoughtful about the needs of your subordinates, put yourself in their shoes. Be thoughtful of their strengths and weaknesses in order to maximize their potentials. Always value them, because they are a part of your team and a team cannot function with one member missing.

Are leaders born or made?


"Leadership is the art of leading others to deliberately create a result that wouldn't have happened otherwise"


For me it is not a question of how you got to be a leader, whether you are born as a leader or made to be a leader. It is never about the ROLE of being a leader, it is about the RESULT, it is about the goal you set and the fulfillment of it.

And as John Kotter said: "Leadership defines what the future should look like, aligns people with that vision, and inspires them to make it happen despite the obstacles"  


What is Management?

"Management is guiding human and physical resources into a dynamic organization units that attain their objectives to the satisfaction of those served and in the high degree of moral and sense of attainment of the part of those rendering the service" 

Management is an important part of our lives, without management we cannot walk towards any specific goal in life. 

As a student, management helps me to achieve my tasks by being my guide on what to do or not to do, with all the deadlines we have to beat, the requirements we have to pass, quizzes we have to review, and report we have to study, we really need to master time management but along with good management skills you also need to prioritize and knowing the limitation of your capabilities.
